This thing wasn't meant to reenter as a whole, Miss Gravity made clear her objections on the matter. Now without fuel, the heaviest part is the Pod.
Interestingly, the DockingPod I used as a Stack Separator (and futurely, to dock wih the LEM) withhold the punishment nicely. This is problably something to be exploited in the future.
